Viny

Deckle-edged cards numbered 1 to 155 and bearing a 'Viny' logo present full format photos of primarily French and American film stars. Several were reissued with the number prefaced by '21'. The cards were produced in both black-and-white and tinted format.

The back of the Viny cards is marked Edug, Paris. Other, unrelated, Edug cards decipher the abbreviation as Editions du Globe, Paris.

Little else is known about the production of the Viny cards. To date, no magazine advertisements relating to the cards have been located.



This catalog was produced jointly by Werner Mohr (Germany) and Jean Ritsema (United States). Werner provided the collector's experience and many of the beautiful images below; Jean generated the catalog. Other images were retrieved from internet resources.
